Musicians
From The Forest
An experimental folk group that currently resides in the greater Portland area. The group includes Nicholas, Ellie, and Dusty. Nicholas & Ellie met in 2019 and quickly became close friends, immediately beginning to write music together. Nicholas' other musical project involved his friend Dusty & he dreamed of bringing the three of them together to create a unique sound that transcended folk music.
The three of them began to work on songs Nicholas & Ellie wrote, crafting beautifully intricate vocal harmonies describing ethereal natural settings & meaningful concepts through poetic lyrics. Dusty brings the music to life with his many spoken samples on record, reel to reel, and cassette that tell the story of the music and build the soundscape throughout their albums, transporting the listeners into the stories they tell through their lyrics.
Third Seven

As of late, Billy has been focusing his efforts to his solo work, ‘Third Seven’. He has received such reviews as: “The world desperately needs the music of ‘Third Seven’ in their lives.” .. and .. “’Third Seven’ is ‘Tom Waits’ and ‘Zoe Keating’s love child.” .. Performing all around the world (Europe and beyond..), and opening for many acts including TEDx, Murder By Death, The Devil Makes Three, Larry And His Flask, Dirtwire, Beats Antique, and Yard Dogs Road Show to name just a few..
‘Third Seven’ knows no bounds. Performing everything from yoga classes to punk rock shows, and absolutely everything in between. Every venue and genre imaginable. – ‘Third Seven’s one man band performance uses looping and layering of cello, rhythm and vocals to fill an entire audience with a unique atmosphere for all demographics to get lost in. It is a very important experience to witness this inspiring and dedicated artist.
Quaint Yet Dank
Quaint Yet Dank is an exploration of sound meant to move both physically and emotionally. A project out of Seattle WA, inspired by the nature of the Pacific Northwest. Seeking to recreate the moments we feel swallowed by the ocean, swayed by the mountains, or at peace in the forest. Quaint Yet Dank is a project with hopes to stir these moments within us. To achieve our flow and be more connected to our inner peace
Chilly Willy
Chilly Willy is a keyboardist/flutist from Portland. His live shows are improvised on the spot, tapping out beats on the MPC, plunking out squiggly melodies on the keys, and tooting out toots on the flute. His influences include walking down the street while listening to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack on headphones and a Walkman, a charcoal barbecue's coals slowly losing heat on a summer night in 1998, his childhood spent playing traditional Irish folk music, biking towards a sunset, yacht rock chords, Dam-Funk's keytar solos, eating spaghetti at the beach, 2000s r&b songs that you can roller skate to, the basslines on Snoop Dogg's first album, J Dilla's aversion to quantizing beats, and Dan Deacon.
Shifting Shadows
Shifting Shadows has been making music together since 2019. They are an experimental psychedelic chill-hop duo consisting of two people From the Forest. With his keyboards, guitar, and looper, Nicholas builds a musical soundscape, pulling from many genres. If that’s all this band was, it would be enough. But, then Dusty assembles a sound collage of analog samples using vinyl records, cassette tape, and reel to reel tape. If that were all, it would be enough. But then they add peaceful, enchanted lyrics to vocal melodies, adding beautiful descriptions of nature to their electronic backdrop. With these alchemical forces fused together as one the shadows began to shift and a blanket of sound is created.
